Frequently Asked Questions
Why IV Hydration?
IV Therapy is the most popular trend in the health and wellness industry because it is easy, quick, and the results are almost immediate. Whether you are looking for more natural energy, a regulated sleep cycle, or even headache relief, IV Therapy will get you there. We use this treatment to target a variety of wellness needs through rehydration such as aiding recovery from illness or jet lag, providing hangover relief, restoring vitamin and nutrient levels, refreshing cosmetic appearance, prepping your body for fitness competitions, and giving you mental focus. If you are looking for any of these things, then IV Therapy is definitely a wellness trend you should get on board with. If you are already taking daily vitamins (or wanting to start), then you’re definitely in the right place, as the absorption rate is much better, and quicker, than getting those same vitamins and nutrients in pill form (100% absorption rate vs only 20% absorption rate).
What’s The Most Popular Drip and Why?
The Myer’s Cocktail is an all time favorite! It is the ultimate vitamin infusion that contains the most studied vitamin mixture created by Dr. John Meyer in the 1950s plus the added touch of RH’s specially formulated anti-oxidants. The Myer’s Cocktail contains multiple high dose vitamins for optimizing your immunity, neuro-function, metabolic energy, and cell recovery. It has been studied in terms of efficacy for treatment of symptoms related to multiple chronic fatigue and life debilitating disorders such as Parkinson's disease, cancer, fibromyalgia, and dementia just to name a few. The high dose glutathione, which is the mother of all antioxidants and master detoxifier, is touted for its benefits alone. We top this with vitamin C and B-Complex to help boost your immune system as well as DNA replication.
Who is administering my IV?
Every one of our employees is a registered nurse or Doctor with years of experience that ensures a comfortable, relaxing, and pain free experience.
What’s The Difference Between An IV Drip & A Booster Shot?
IV is an abbreviation for “intravenous”. To administer an IV Drip, a small plastic tube (catheter) is inserted into a vein using a needle that is quickly removed once the plastic tube is advanced into the vein. IV Drips consist of 250-1000 ml of fluid with a mixture of vitamins and antioxidants. The intravenous route is the fastest way to deliver fluids and vitamins throughout the body with 100 % absorption into the bloodstream. IV Drips usually take 30-45 min to infuse.
A Vitamin Booster Shot is a quick 10-second injection that delivers a few vitamins intramuscularly, directly into the gluteal or deltoid muscle. There is no IV access required with vitamin boosters. The dosages of vitamins also differ due to smaller volumes can be injected into the muscle. The booster shot muscle absorption is surprisingly nearly equal to that of IV going directly into the bloodstream.
Can anyone receive an IV?
We recommend that individuals over the age of 18 receive IV Therapy & Booster Shots. However, with parental permission, these vitamin infusions are safe for anyone, provided our nurse reviews your medical history (a small questionnaire provided to you before your appointment)
Does it hurt?
Our registered nurses are highly trained and have years of experience that guarantee our precision and an ability to create a pain-free process. On top of highly skilled registered nurses, we use pediatric size needles so they are as small as can be.
